İŞÇİ SINIFI İÇİN MODERN YAŞAMIN KODLARI: ALPULLU ŞEKER FABRİKASI

Abstract

Alpullu Şeker Fabrikası Erken Cumhuriyet dönemindekurulmuş modern fabrikalardan biridir. Alpullu Şeker Fabrikası yalnızca birüretim tesisi değil aynı zamanda modern Türk ailesinin yaşamının kültürelkodlarını yansıtan bir alandır. Fabrika yerleşkesindeki binaların gelişimi veçeşitliliği genç Türkiye’nin sosyal ve kültürel aktivite sunma çabasını temsileder. Üretim binalarının yanında işçi konutları, villalar, tiyatro salonu, sporalanları ve sosyal yaşamın mimari altyapısı bu fabrikanın Türkiye’nin kuzeybatı bölgesindeki Kırklareli ili yakınında bir kültürel merkez olarakplanlandığının göstergesidir.Bu makale fabrika yerleşkesinin genel hatları ilevar olan değerinin yanında gelecekteki ekonomik ve sosyal durumunu dairdelemektedir. Bugün ekonomik olarak karlılığını yitirmiş olan birçok ErkenCumhuriyet Dönemi fabrika yerleşkesi çürümeye terk edilmiş, özelleştirilmiş vebinalar zarar görmüştür. Oysa Türkiye’deki ekonomik reform döneminin ve modernfabrika yerleşkelerinin gelişiminin tarihsel tanığı olan bu işletmeler korumaaltına alınmalıdır. Alpullu şeker fabrikası orijinal kültürel kodlarıkorunarak, çağdaş değerlere uygun yeni bir formda kullanılmalıdır. Bu makaledebelgesel kanıt olarak arşiv materyalleri, fotoğraflar, görseller ve çizimlersunulacaktır.

AlpulluSugar Factory is among the modern factories which were established in the earlydecades of the republican period. It is not only a place of production but itcan also be considered as a field where cultural codes of the modern livingwere experienced by the modern Turkish family. Its development and variety ofbuilding types on the site represent young Turkey’s concern for the culturaland social activities in labour settlements. Beside the factory and buildingsof production, residential area of the labour, villas, theatre hall, sportsareas and architectural infrastructure of social gathering display that thefactory with its settlement was planned as a cultural hub around Kırklareli,the north-western region in Turkey. This paper notonly deals with the general layout of the factory settlement but also with itsfuture position as an area with multiple economical and social  relations,still extant. Today many early republican factory settlements are enlisted aseconomically inefficient, so they are left to decay, areas were sold andbuildings were destroyed. However regarding their historical position theyshould be preserved in a way as they witness a period of economic reforms anddevelopment of the modern labour settlements in Turkey. Future position ofAlpullu sugar factory must maintain the original cultural codes but in a newform of contemporary values. Archival material, photos, illustrations anddrawings will be presented as the documentary evidences of the paper.
