Lisansüstü Turizm Rehberliği Eğitimi Üzerine Bir Durum Analizi

Abstract

Turist rehberleri, ülkelerin en önemli kültür ve tanıtım elçileridir. Donanımlı bir turist rehberinin yetişmesinde eğitimin önemi yadsınamaz. Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de lisansüstü düzeyinde turizm rehberliği eğitimi veren fakülte ve yüksekokulların ders müfredatlarının incelenerek mevcut durumun genel bir analizini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi temel alınarak doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. 2020 -2021 Eğitim -öğretim yılı sürecinde, Türkiye’de lisansüstü düzeyindeeğitim veren fakülte ve yüksekokulların turizm rehberliği kabul koşulları, eğitim süreleri ve şekilleri incelenerek genel durum tespiti yapılmıştır. Üniversitelerin turizm rehberliği yüksek lisans programlarındaki benzerlik ve farklılıkların ortaya konulması hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, 15 üniversitede Turizm Rehberliği Tezli, 10 üniversitede Turizm Rehberliği Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans programı yer almaktadır. Turizm Rehberliği Tezli Yüksek Lisans programlarında 16 zorunlu, 61 seçmeli ders yer almaktadır. Tezsiz Yüksek Lisans programlarında ise 23 zorunlu ve 38 seçmeli dersin yer aldığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, Seyahat İşletmeciliği ve Turizm Rehberliği, Ekoturizm Rehberliği ve Rekreasyon ve Turizm Rehberliği adı altında, 3 farklı yüksek lisans programı yer almaktadır. Lisansüstü programlarına kabul koşullarında, program adlarında, zorunlu ve seçmeli dersler arasında farklılıklar olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.

Tourist guides are the most important cultural and promotional ambassadors of the countries. The importance of education in the training of a well-equipped tourist guide cannot be denied. The aim of this research is to reveal a general analysis of the current situation by examining the curricula of the faculties and vocational schools that provide tourism guidance education at the postgraduate level. In the research, based on qualitative research method, document analysis technique was used. During the 2020-2021 academic year, the tourism guidance acceptance conditions, education periodsand forms of the faculties and colleges providing postgraduate education in Turkey were examined and the general situation was determined. It was asked to reveal the similarities and differences in the tourism guidance master's programs of universities. According to the results of the research, it was determined that there are tourism guidance master's programs with thesis in 15 universities and non-thesis master's in 10 universities. There are 16 compulsory and 61 elective courses in Tourism Guidance Master's Program with thesis. It has been determined that there are 23 compulsory and 38 elective courses in non-thesis master's programs. In addition, there are 3 different postgraduate programs under the name of Travel Management and Tourism Guidance, Ecotourism Guidance and Recreation and Tourism Guidance. It has been revealed that there are differences in terms of admission to post graduate programs, program names, compulsory and elective courses.
