Wellness turizm destinasyonu olarak Eskişehir: Kaynaklar, çeşitler, sorunlar ve çözümler

Abstract

Sağlığına dikkat eden, sağlığını korumak ve sağlıklı bir şekilde hayatını sürdürmek isteyen bireylerin ruhsal, bedensel ve zihinsel açıdan kendilerini iyi hissetmek istemeleri ile Wellness turizmi dünyada hızla gelişme kaydetmektedir. Çalışmanın kapsamını sahip olduğu termal kaynaklar ve bu kaynakların kullanımı açısından Eskişehir il merkezi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma kümesini ise Eskişehir il merkezindeki termal su kullanan işletmeler kapsamaktadır. Çalışmada araştırmacı, Eskişehir'in sunduğu termal hizmetlerin Wellness turizmi kapsamında değerlendirilmesi, Wellness turizminde önemli olan ürün ve hizmetlerin belirlenmesi, işletmelerin genel işleyişlerinin ortaya konması ve bu süreçte ortaya çıkan sorun ve eksikliklerin belirlenerek çözüm önerilerinin geliştirilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada öncelikle konu ile ilgili uzman kişilerden görüşleri alınmıştır. Görüşme sonucunda termal su kullanan işletmelere yönlendirmek üzere yarı yapılandırılmış soru formu oluşturulmuş ve görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşme formu, gözlem sonucu tutulan görüşme notları, ses kayıtları ve çekilen fotoğraflar aracılığıyla veriler toplanmıştır. Veriler içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak Eskişehir'deki işletmelerde hijyen, insan kaynakları, iletişim, pazarlama ve tanıtım unsurlarında eksiklikler tespit edilmiş ve bunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmiştir.

Wellness tourism is developing rapidly in the world, as individuals who take care of their health, want to protect their health, and maintain their lives in a healthy way, want to feel good spiritually, physically and mentally. On the grounds of its thermal sources and usage of the sources Eskisehir city centre is the scope of this study. Businesses in Eskisehir city centre which use thermal water are the working set of this study. The researcher's aim in this study is to evaluate the thermal services offered by Eskisehir within the Wellness tourism, to determine the products and services that are substantial in Wellness tourism, and to reveal the enterprises' general functioning and develop solutions by determining the problems and deficiencies that arise in this process. As the first step of this study, the opinions of experts on the subject were collected. As a result of the interview, a semi-structured questionnaire was created to direct the businesses using thermal water and interviews were conducted. Research data were collected by means of interview form, observation through interview notes, audio recordings and photographs. The data were evaluated by content analysis. As a result of this study, some deficiencies were found out in terms of hygiene, human resources, communication, marketing, and promotion elements in the businesses in Eskisehir, and, besides of these deficiencies, some solutions for these problems were given.
