Sürdürülebilirlik perspektifinden tarım ve enerji

Abstract

Dünya nüfusunun gün geçtikçe artmasıyla gerek enerji kullanımı gerek insanların gıda ihtiyacında hızlı bir artış görülmüştür. Türkiye enerji gereksinimini ağırlıkla fosil yakıtlardan karşılamaktadır. Türkiye petrol ve doğal gaz ihtiyacını karşılamak için dışa bağımlıdır. Aynı zamanda çevreye zararı olan fosil yakıtların kullanılmasını azaltmaya yardımcı olan yenilenebilir enerji kaynakları kullanımının artırılması hem çevresel hem ekonomik bakımdan oldukça önemlidir. Bunun yanında birçok sektörde olduğu gibi tarım sektöründe üretilen ürünün enerji maliyetinin azaltılması son derece önemlidir. Ürünün verimini ve kalitesini düşürmeden, kullanılan enerji miktarının azaltılması ve enerjinin etkin kullanılmasıyla toplam enerji maliyetinin azaltılmasının imkânları vardır. Bu gerçeklikten hareketle, bu çalışma, artan enerji ve gıda gereksinimini sürdürülebilir perspektiften değerlendirmeyi amaçlamıştır. Çalışmada literatürün incelenmesi yanında bazı bilgilere kişilerle ve kurumlarla görüşülerek ulaşılmıştır. Bu kapsamda öncelikle tarım, enerji ve sürdürülebilirlik ilişkisi, fosil ve yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının harcadığı enerji miktarı ve karbon salınımları incelenmiştir. Ardından Türkiye için seçilen birkaç teknikten hareketle olumsuz çevre etkisini, enerji miktarı ve maliyetini azaltarak üretimin gerçekleştirilmesine imkân veren alternatif teknik değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, tarım, yenilenebilir enerji ve sürdürülebilirlik ilişkisinin birbirini tamamlaması yönünde elde edilen ve edilebilecek önemli potansiyel kazanımlar olduğu ileri sürülmüş ve bu amaca yönelik politika önerisinde bulunulmuştur.

With the world population increasing day by day, a rapid increase has been observed in both the energy use and the food needs of the people. Turkey meets its energy needs from fossil fuel weight. Turkey is dependent on foreign oil and natural gas to meet its needs. At the same time, increasing the use of renewable energy sources, which helps to reduce the use of fossil fuels, which are harmful to the environment, is very important both environmentally and economically. In addition, as in many sectors, it is extremely important to reduce the energy cost of the product produced in the agricultural sector. There are possibilities to reduce the total energy cost by reducing the amount of energy used and efficient use of energy, without reducing the product's efficiency and quality. Based on this reality, this study aimed to evaluate the increasing energy and food needs from a sustainable perspective. In addition to examining the literature, some information was obtained by discussing with individuals and institutions. In this context, the relationship between agriculture, energy and sustainability, the amount of energy spent by fossil and renewable energy sources, and carbon emissions were examined. Than for selected a alternative few techniques examined in the side of negative environmental impact, allowing the realization of the amount of energy and reducing the cost of production. As a result, it has been suggested that there are significant potential gains that can be achieved and complementary to the relationship between agriculture, renewable energy and sustainability, and a policy proposal has been made for this purpose.
